I have used NOD32 by ESET for six years without a single misstep.
In my view it is by far the best AV application money can buy. I

Version 3.0.659.0 is the Smart security version not the Nod32
Anti-Virus version!

NOD32 just updates it's virus database, but not the software itself.
That has to be done manually. (Avast is better with this).
I suggest everyone checks out this site http://virusscan.jotti.org/
for a comparison of various AntiVirus software. My exoprience is
that AVG is best among free and AntiVir and BitDefender are best for
non-free.

NOD32 is the best AV program I have ever had. In my five tears of
using it, along with Zone Alarm Pro (Anti-Spyware) I have never had
a virus on any of my PCs. Highly recommended. Trouble-free, self
updating, it silently and unobtrusively gives one first class AV
protection.
